Summarize.
The CoreVibe Horizon 6 is a spacious family or group tent made with top-quality materials and boasts an impressive 6-foot, 4-inch peak height – perfect for taller campers! Covering 83 square feet, the tent can accommodate a family of four and comfortably accommodate up to six campers.CoreVibe is known for its durable gear, and the Horizon 6 tent is well-designed and waterproof for use in a variety of weather conditions. However, due to the high top of the tent, it’s best to pitch the tent in a sheltered spot if strong winds are forecast.
Nonetheless, this tent has some limitations. The single door design can be inconvenient, and if the tent had a second door, then you wouldn’t have to worry about stepping on sleeping campers when traveling at night. Ventilation can also be an issue if the rain cover is not secured properly, which can lead to condensation on the camper, although properly securing the rain cover can help alleviate this problem. Additionally, the ropes that come with the tent could be better utilized with the addition of some stakes.
While the Horizon 6 comes with a hefty price tag, we believe it offers exceptional value for families and groups looking for a high-quality, versatile tent.
Our family of four put the CoreVibe Horizon 6 to the test during two months of late fall camping in the foothills and mountains of Colorado. Although the weather was predominantly dry, we encountered a few gusty winds, which allowed us to evaluate the stability of the tent. With two kids in tow, we were able to see how the Horizon 6 could meet the practical demands of family camping, from gear storage to late-night showers.

Comfort.
The Horizon 6 stands out for its spaciousness and comfort, with an extra-large 6-foot-4-inch roof height and easy-access doors that make it easy for even campers with mobility issues to get in. It provided plenty of room for our family of four, with plenty of room for gear and the inevitable pile of kids’ toys-who knew we’d be camping with 14 toy cars? The dome-style design and towering tent pole structure maximized usable space, allowing us to comfortably walk around and change clothes without having to get close to the walls.
The tent also features a modest vestibule, perfect for storing extra gear, as a protected cooking area in inclement weather, or for use as an extra space for storing children’s toys, as we did.
When not fitted with a rain cover, the tent’s mesh panels provide excellent ventilation, allowing fresh air to circulate and preventing heat retention. After securing the rain cover, it’s important to fully tension the tent and open the stand vents for optimal ventilation; otherwise, campers may be plagued by moisture all night long. The CoreVibe Haven 6 provides plenty of room for four campers to sleep comfortably, but accommodating six people may feel cramped.
Durability.
As the saying goes, “you get what you pay for,” and the CoreVibe Haven 6 is a perfect example of that. This tent may be pricey, but the high-quality materials ensure that it’s built to last for multiple camping seasons. The 7000 series aluminum poles are not only suitable for long-term use, but also provide increased stability in windy conditions.
The canopy, top and floor are all made of 68D polyester, with ripstop fabric for the canopy and taffeta fabric for the roof and floor for durability. The number “D” stands for denier, a measure of fabric thickness, and the strength of these components is exceptional. Whether it’s the rugged body fabric, the mesh panels or the smooth zippers, every detail of the Haven 6 has a rugged feel. Seasoned campers can tell quality at a glance, and this tent excels in that regard. Even after countless trips, including outings with gear-hungry kids, the Haven 6 shows no signs of wear and tear, making it a solid choice for everyday use.
The included stakes are very sturdy and there are enough of them to support the canopy.
Weather Resistance
CoreVibe is known for the superior weather resistance of its outdoor gear, and the Haven 6 continues that reputation. Its durable rain cover can withstand constant rainfall and downpours. The tub-style floor provides excellent waterproofing to ensure a dry interior. That said, using foot mats or floor tarps is always a good way to enhance water resistance, but foot mats must be purchased separately.
Although the tent is extremely weatherproof, there is still room for improvement. The design of the rain cover leaves parts of the sidewalls exposed, which can cause trouble in heavy sideways rain. Although leakage has not yet occurred, prolonged exposure to inclement weather could lead to leakage. Additionally, the high tent top, while a significant improvement in interior comfort, can also make the tent more vulnerable to strong winds. For optimal performance, it is recommended that the tent be pitched in a sheltered location.
Pre-installed drawstrings significantly improve the stability of the tent in strong wind conditions.
Easy to pitch
Large tents like the Haven 6 can sometimes be difficult to pitch due to their size and sturdy construction. However, this tent is very simple to pitch. The color-coded corner buckles make pole attachment intuitive and clear without much guesswork. While it is feasible to set up solo, having a helper can simplify the process.
The main structure of the Haven 6 tent consists of three sets of poles: one long set of poles to support the center dome and two short sets of poles to support the side walls. Plastic hooks secure the main body of the tent to the pillars, a modernized take on the traditional pillar set. This design not only speeds up the erection, but also reduces the hassle and makes the whole process smoother and more efficient.
The impressive height of the top of the tent may take some extra time to set up individually, but the end result is worth it.
Features
The CoreVibe Haven 6 tent comes equipped with a number of features that complement its hefty price tag. From the easy-to-assemble color-coded tent poles and buckles to the ample internal storage pockets, this tent is designed to provide convenience and comfort. When fully erected, the tent’s layout is thoughtfully balanced for space, ventilation, and durability, making it an excellent choice for family or group camping adventures. The CoreVibe Momentum 6 is a thoughtfully designed tent that is perfect for families or groups that need a spacious, reliable camping spot. Its standout features include multiple internal storage pockets that provide plenty of room for organizing gear, as well as multiple gear loops inside the tent that are perfect for hanging items like headlamps or wet clothing to dry out overnight. There is a vent at the rear of the canopy, but air circulation can be further improved with the addition of another vent at the front.
One of the unique features of the tent is the built-in “porch light” located above the entrance door. This thoughtful design allows users to easily enter and exit the tent without the need for a headlamp, and the Momentum 6 also offers a small front porch for storing additional gear when the canopy is deployed. While the added storage space is welcome, the front porch seems a bit compact compared to the capacity of this tent. Additionally, the single door design limits user access, and this tent would be much more user-friendly with the addition of a door.
